Howdy all!
I could not resist but share a story from the Volumetric Technologies team today. One of our customers dropped off their table top piston filler for us to fix yesterday. They purchased it from us years ago and have used it faithfully since the purchase. The guys in the shop said it looked like it was in pretty rough shape but they were confident that they could make it pretty again. They asked the delivery guy how it got to look so rough and he said that it had been dropped frequently (off the table) and that they really beat it up but they were happy because it still worked perfect! So within 24 hours the Volumetric team has it looking spruced up and the customer is so happy they purchased another filler from us today! We have the Toughest machine out there!

We are so excited to have offered the Machine Design position to Brad Smith and he accepted! Brad has a wide range of experience most recently working at Benchmark in Rochester, MN where he was a Sr. Mechanical Project Engineer. We are excited to have him join the Volumetric family and we look foward to a long-lasting relationship!

How long have you worked at VT? I’ve worked here for 8 months part time and 3 years 3 months fulltime
What do you do? I Machine parts for fillers and conveyors that we make. I also assemble and test machines.
What is your favorite part of working at VT? Interesting work, the variety and the location. I also like the drive because it is not going through the city during rush hour and that is nice
Before working here what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve had? I worked at a shop that made million dollar machines that were larger than the building I’m working in now. They would take over a year to build and the size alone was amazing!
What are your favorite activities or things to do when not working…. I love to hunt, fish and watch my boys race cars. Don’t like the work on the cars so much but love to watch then race. Also, every year we head up to northern Minnesota for a week of fishing and it’s so beautiful that we don’t even care if we catch a fish and I love fishing!
What is your favorite food? Why? I love my wife’s spaghetti, its simply the best!

I’m totally new at this but am going to do my best to figure it all out. I’ve recently changed careers and have joined my husbands company, Volumetric Technologies! This is an exciting time in our lives and we are anxious to grow our business and help our customers be the best they can be. Our company manufactures liquid filling equipment and is one of the leaders in the industry so it’s an exciting time for me to join him. We look forward to you reading about what we are doing and how we continue to improve for our customers.
